Hi,
someone will be able to give a more detailed and better opinion. But the reason you are jumping forward is because your center of gravity shifts forward before take off. This could have something to do with many things, but I cannot make out what it is with you. However, I am sure someone here can!

SM is correct. You shift your COG forward. Generally this is an attempt to load the quads more and is a sign that a jumper is quad/push domoinant. More glute and posterior chain work should help correct this. Technique work may heklp a bit but if your quads are the strongest muscle your body will instinctively load them doring a jump in a game situation.

thanks alex, i think your right, i'll focus on getting the post chain a lot stronger
i started the flying in four vert program by kelly baggett a few days ago, so i'll follow it and make sure to do some glute activation work and make sure i'm doing the lifts in a way that i am getting my post chain really involved like it should be

Keep us updated about your progress, nba8340! I'm considering doing FIF when my off season starts, but I want to be sure it's worth it, with all that stupid hype around it…

Yeah, I accidentally came across your log on db hammer yesterday :) Just keep on going for the last 2 weeks! (Btw, almost everyone sees a weight gain like yours while taking creatine, it's additional water stored in the muscle cells I think.. )

yeh, i wasn't expecting it at all bcs i tried creatine before a couple times and noticed no difference. I'm confused now though as to what this extra weight gain means, is it a positive thing, is the weight gonna drop off, etc
is their validity tot he cycling on creatine? Like use it for a month then take a break for a month, then back on, etc? that way it has the same large effect each time?

Re Creatine, I dont think so. PC allows you to do more reps in the atp-cp pathway (0-10 sec). The weight gain is just increased storage. Once the tank is full you will be able to max out atp-cp. if you cycle off you essentially drain the gas tank. So you would surge with improvements again but they would be the same performance levels that you would achieve if you had never cycled off. And they might be lower. Why? Cause you missed out on a bunch of extra work when you cycled off.

yeh what your saying makes sense, how much more Creatine do you need though? I would think though it woulnd't be as effective though if yu never came off bcs your body adapts to everything, so maybe it would downregulate or something and you would need more creatine to accomplish the same thing. I know that exact science doesn't make sense but i don't think it could be as effective if you never come off it, your body always adapts
