Great article. I've started to really listen to my body and my results are much better than when I was just following routines

Oh if I were to compare you guys to what I see in the trainers for our olympic high jumping and athletics, then yes, you know much more. Although that's a shot in the dark because I never went too deep into knowing what the trainers here REALLY are doing. Just whatever I saw during my training days on the track and just listening.

However, high quality coaches probably DO exist. They have some healthy science background but still say stupid things sometimes. They do seem to know more movement-wise and technique-wise than western guys. Some russian tricks are present, especially in terms of plyometrics.

But I have yet to find a real knowledgeable coach... they pretty much seem to badly interpret Russian science (from our former communist education) so I have to say that you guys are superior to them. Sad, I know :P

Hello,

Very good article. Do you believe that "we"(Alex Vasquez,Inno sport,WGF)are actually ahead of the former USSR? Or is there any way to tell if what "we" know now is actually more advanced?
